Cape Verde Relief and Climate
The relief of the main part of the islands is uneven, reaching the height of 2,882 meters on Fogo with its majestic volcano. The islands of Sal, Boa Vista and Maio are the flattest and offer the best beaches in the country. The climate is dry to tropical with merely two seasons: the dry season between November and July and the humid season from August to October with intermittent rainfall. The sun shines all year round and the temperature is mild, registering a yearly average of 24°C with little fluctuation between the seasons.
